Teem
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Teem is a Risk of Rain inspired action roguelite where you steer a living swarm of thousands of insects. Every unit is a sliver of your health and a sliver of your bite. Feed the swarm to outgrow the losses incurred by your enemies and hazards.

You shape the swarm as you fight. Let it spread into a Cloud to graze and swallow whatever wanders in, or throw it forward as a Stream to spear into a targeted attack. Form into a shell to defend from enemy threats.
A run crosses a branching path of biomes, from a mossy clearing to frozen hollows, an ant colony, the ash fields and a web strung high in the canopy. Each one brings its own bugs and its own boss, and asks something different of your build. The longer you linger, the hungrier everything gets.
Evolve on the way. Dozens of mutations and organs, synergies to discover between them, and the option to skip it all and gorge until the swarm is enormous.
Win once and the game starts fighting back. Defects, mutations gone wrong, join every run after that, and the danger levels push harder still.
Playtest build
This is an early proof of concept build. Expect rough edges. I'd love to hear what felt unfair, what felt too easy, and anywhere you got lost.

Run data
The first time you start Teem it asks whether you want to share your runs. If you say yes, each finished run sends me a short summary of how it went (the biomes you reached, the cards you were offered and which ones you took, the bosses you fought and how the run ended), plus the game version and a random ID the game makes up on your computer so I can tell which runs came from the same player.
It doesn't include your name, your itch account, your IP address or anything else about you or your machine. The summaries go to a small server I run on Cloudflare, and I only use them to balance the game. I delete them a year after they arrive.
You can turn sharing on or off any time in Options under "Share runs", where you'll also see your ID. If you want your runs deleted, message me here on itch with that ID and I'll remove them.
Bug reports
If you report a bug from the pause menu, the game sends me what you wrote, a screenshot of the game screen at that moment, the game version, your screen resolution and where you were in the run (the biome, the run clock, your swarm's size, your strain and danger level, how many times you'd evolved, the boss and your cards). That's all. Reports go to the same server and are deleted after a year too.
